Programs: Food Boxes

Every day the volunteers pack and deliver between 30-60 food boxes. Each "box" contains at least 20 pounds of food per person and is enough food for three days.  That means each person receives at least 9 meals (3 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 3 dinners).

Last year the Food Bank provided almost 300,000 meals, distributing 2,000,000 pounds of food (to food box recipients, and through our Agency Shopping program) thanks to 18,000 volunteer hours.

Please choose a location most convenient to you and call between 10am and Noon.

More information

If you need an emergency food box, please contact the distribution agencies or churches directly on the days and times listed below.  You may have up to 10 food boxes in a calendar year.

Please call between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. (noon) Monday through Friday. Orders will not be taken before or after that time. Orders are then picked up on the same day at the Church or Agency you called (not at the Food Bank).

Please respect these times as the program is run almost entirely by volunteers who assist in the different parts of the preparation each day. Remember! These food boxes are packed with a three day supply of food. Please do not place orders closer than three days. For further ordering information, please contact us.
